Bilateral Special Forces Exercise Between Greece-USA

A bilateral exercise between the Special Forces of Greece and the USA, held from 05 to 19 June 2012 in the region of Attica-Voiotia was competed.

The aim of the exercise was the co-training in military decision-making procedures, in First-Aid practices in the battle field, in hostile terrain rescue practices, as well as in fast rope descent.

The exercise which was held following a request by the US, was attended by the Hellenic Special Parachutist Team, the Underwater Demolition Command, the 31st Special Operations Research and Rescue Squadron and the 5/19 SFG (Airborne) of the US Army.

The US delegation was given a guided tour in the archaeological sites of the wider region on the days during which the co-training was not scheduled.
